A Mission Oak Desk

Tiger oak is so yummy. SO SO YUMMY. Ok, now that I have that out of my system. This is a gorgeous solid tiger oak desk that I purchased a few weeks ago from the original owner's daughter. It was purchased back in the 20s or 30s for the gentleman's office (He was a dentist). I painted the base a creamy white, and refinished the top to really let the tiger oak stand out.
I think the result is pretty handsome. What do you think? This one's available, so let me know if you're interested.
Before and Afters below ~

top before, and you can juuuust see the tiger striping peeking through.

Wow that came out so nice. I love how your before pictures have the outline from the desk blotter.

  2. Thank You! And I know, I noticed that too. It had sat untouched for so many decades.
