New Acquisitions: A Banquette and Two Chandeliers

I picked up a few really spiffy pieces yesterday, fresh from a barn one town over. Now folks, there are a couple dangerous aspects to this furniture and antiques business. One of the worst is when you buy something, planning to re-sell it, and then fall head over heels in love with it. Hey, it happens! The banquette is fantastic. Antique, probably dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Look at the carved hearts! So much character, and all hand built. It's a really special piece. And the white floral chandelier is very sweet too, in a subtle way.
The second chandelier, which is antique and Italian- I'm obsessed with it. I think I dreamt about it last night. I liked it okay when I bought it, but it's not exactly my taste (hello? Cherubs?) but then I brought it inside and put it on my dining table and thought- "Oh...Wow". My current light fixture is no great shakes, a ho hum thing we picked up at Home Depot when we first moved in, just to get the atrocious c.1985 ceiling fan out of there. So this antique Italian chandelier needs four glass hurricanes to go around the candles, but those should be easy to find- and then yea, I think I'm gonna need to keep it. I don't think I can bear to part with it. Who'd have thought...cherubs of all things.
Happy Friday!

Here it is in my dining room. I'm not crazy right? It's perfect!
