An Antique Farm Table

I love farm tables. They're in my top ten favorite things in the world. That list also includes my husband, my cats, and chili cheese fries. Farm tables are unbelievably popular right now, so finding one "in the wild" is rare and exciting. I found this little gem at the flea market on Sunday and could not wait to get started on it. It was buried under a dingy shade of maroon, which had to be addressed straight away. I sanded the top down and was delighted to find the handsome pine boards in lovely condition. I painted the base it ASCP cream- which reads as a soft butter cream. Just picture this as an island in a cottage kitchen. It even has a sweet little drawer, and something about those long legs reminds me os a new born colt. Perfection!

  1. I am completely in love with old farm tables too. I have to buy them when I see them and I just figure out later where I will put them. The one you refinished is a beauty. And since I ride horses, I love the colt reference! :)

Very pretty - wonderful find! I love farm tables - I tend to find more of the other style - drop leaf farm tables.
