ReplyDeleteI could believe that it might be one of the bird and basket samplers of Canterbury, New Hampshire since they are identified with that black outline which is quite distinctive. However, if it is a Canterbury piece, it's quite early, perhaps the earliest of all. It's wonderful, wherever it came from!
