An Antique Work Bench Turned Kitchen Island

I got this beast of work bench a couple weeks ago. It's built like a tank and weighs about as much. I'd guess it dates to about 1930. It's all hand made, with nice fitted drawers, a cupboard and brass feet, but the real stunning part is the paneled back- so so pretty. I removed the old top, brought the wood back down to the boards and then added a new pine top. I stained the top in dark walnut, and sealed it glossy smooth. I painted the case in a soft gray with a mocha colored interior to the cupboard and drawers, distressed, and sealed with dark wax.
