An Antique Mahogany Dining Set

I've done many dining sets through the years, but this may be one of my very favorite. I picked the set up from a pretty old house in New Haven almost two weeks ago along with a nice server and sideboard, all a matched set, all having been made by the Thomasville Chair Company c.1925. The sideboard and server are already done, and this was the last of the group to be refinished. I painted the chairs and table base in a custom mixed mint called 'Lamb's Ear' after the plant, not the appendage. I sanded, stained, and resealed the gorgeous striated mahogany table top and leaf and did a bit of decorative painting on the table corners and the leaf to give the table as much oomph as the chairs already had, with their spectacular pierced fretwork splats. I distressed all the painted surfaces and sealed them with wax, and then recovered the seats in a beautiful geometric upholstery to compliment the color of the set.
