A Vintage Rock Maple Hutch

At the end of last week one of my favorite furniture finders called me up. She wanted to know if I did big pieces of furniture. At first I was a little worried, what she was describing sounded huge and unwieldily, but then she rolled up in my driveway with this handsome rock maple hutch.  I decided to go with a simple mid-tone custom mixed gray, heavily inspired by this piece that I found on pinterest-

Then I sanded the counter portion, and distressed and dark waxed the case. I also swapped out the ho-hum brass pulls for
pretty antique wood ones I'd saved off another piece.
