It was a foul rainy morning today, so I spent the first couple of hours finishing up the decorating of our tree. We picked it up yesterday - big shout out to Martin's Tree Farm! This year's tree is so beautiful, and my husband and I both agreed it's our favorite we've had. I decorated it completely with antique Christmas balls I've been collecting for several years. I love them because as they age they fade to all different shades, and no two are alike. Now I'm off to do a little Holiday shopping. I hope you've having a great weekend too!

Your tree is beautiful !!!!!! I too, love and collect the old Christmas ornaments. The pretty colors and patina can't be replicated by stuff that is sold in the big box stores.
ReplyDeleteBTW... The setee and chair are fantastic. I knew you could do it.

Thank you Vanessa- how nice of you! If you live in the area, I got the tree at Old Purple Farm in East Hampton. There was a gorgeous selection, and added bonus, the farm house is a breathtaking 18th century home.
DeleteI'm so glad you're happy with your tree! It reminds me of my childhood so long ago!
ReplyDeleteI spent such an enjoyable hour browsing your shop yesterday and have many questions for you. That pale blue, or aqua is it, paint is super. Think I have to have some of that.

It was so delightful to meet you yesterday!. Your farm is so spectacular. I defer all pale blue and aqua paint questions to my dear friend Leslie. We shared the space at Marlborough Barn, and all the brightly colored furniture is her fine work. You can find her new blog here http://thecottagevine.blogspot.com/. Thank you again for the fabulous tree, and Merry Christmas!
DeleteGoodness I love your tree! Beautiful and colorful. Next time I go thrifting, I'll have to keep my eye out for vintage ornaments too.
