A Refinished China Cabinet

This beautiful piece came as part of a set with a sideboard and dining set, though they've both already found new homes. I wanted to create a classically tailored look for the hutch. It has a lot of curves and very ornate hardware. To balance this, I went with a modern black paint accented with cream, almost hinting at pinstripes, or piping on a sharp blazer. To give the hutch some brightness, I painted the interior in the same cream. It's one of my favorite projects I've ever done.
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Things have been a little crazy around here because of a big and exciting change that's coming in the next couple weeks. I included a little teaser pic at the bottom of the post. Can you guess what the big news is???
