A Pine Trestle Table Dining Set

This is such a classic New England style. The dining set was made by a known cabinet maker in New Hampshire about 30 years ago. It's construction definitely shows the signs of a well trained hand. The three beautiful pine boards that make up the top have bread board ends, and are pegged throughout. The base it carefully built and so gorgeous. I purchased the set from the original owners who had loved and enjoyed it for many years, but are downsizing. Everything in this set is solid as a rock, again speaking to the fine construction. I painted the chairs and the table base a black gloss enamel, sanded the table top and sanded it a warm rich English chestnut. Then many coats of poly to protect it for years to come.
